Tulips & Tea is a special collaborative set featuring the work of Metalsmith + Jeweller Miranda Britton, Textile Artist Jen Manuell (of Fish Eye Sisters) + Ceramic Artist, April Gates (of Blackbird Pottery).
Tulips & Tea includes 4 pieces: hand fabricated brass spoon, hand cast + decorated tumbler, chocolate stoneware spoon rest + a patchwork wool mat. All pieces are individually handcrafted, so there will be slight variations between sets.
Please Note: Sets will be ready for shipping or pick up by April 26th. (That's lots of time for parcels to arrive in advance of Mother’s Day!) Shipping for this set is $17. MAT features many pieces of Jen's hand-dyed wool flannel fabric on the front + a unique freeform quilting design. There really are no two that are identical. Japanese cotton fabric is used on the back + for binding. There’s a double layer of thermal batting for heat protection.
Dimensions: ~7.5” by 5”
Care Instructions: Resilient and simple to care for, wool naturally repels water and stains. Soak up spills when they happen. Spot clean the wool as needed, with a dry brush or a damp cloth. The need for a more thorough cleaning will be infrequent, but if it is necessary, hand wash or gentle cycle with cold water. Lay Flat to dry.
SPOON is hand fabricated from brass, utilizing traditional metalsmithing techniques. Each spoon is unique + the design is inspired by the buds that emerge in the forest in springtime.
Dimensions: ~5.5" long
Care Instructions: The spoon can be washed by hand with warm water and dish soap as needed. Over time, the patina of the brass will deepen in colour.
TUMBLER is hand cast in a smooth & toasty stoneware blend featuring April’s new Dancing Tulip design, in celebration of iconic May flowers. Tumblers are versatile, and can be used for hot or cold beverages as well as double as a vase form. Tumblers are food safe, and glazed clear on the inside and lip. The outer surface is left unglazed, and will feel satin smooth to hold.
Dimensions: ~ 4" tall, 3.5" wide (holds up to 12oz)
Care Instructions: Hand-wash only. Microwave safe.
SPOON REST is hand-crafted using deep chocolate stoneware, printed with twig and berry designs, with a soft matte glaze finish. These lil’ gems can be used for anything needing a small nest! Jewels, magic beans… you get the idea.

Care Instructions: Hand-wash only. Not microwave safe.
